Terms of Service

    Last updated 19 August 2026

These terms apply when you use NewsCatch, including the Slack and Microsoft Teams integrations. By creating an account or installing the app you agree to them.

    The service

NewsCatch monitors publicly available news sources you select, scores articles against your keywords and delivers matching items to the Slack or Microsoft Teams channels you configure. Features may change as the product develops.

You need an account to use NewsCatch. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details, for keeping access to your account secure, and for the activity of anyone you invite into your workspace.

    Acceptable use

    You agree not to:

    • Use NewsCatch to break the law or to infringe anyone's rights
    • Attempt to access other customers' data, or probe or disrupt the service
    • Resell or redistribute the service without written permission
    • Use the service to circumvent a publisher's access controls, or to republish source content in breach of that publisher's terms

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or that put the service or other customers at risk.

    Source content and your content

Articles surfaced by NewsCatch remain the property of their publishers. NewsCatch shows metadata, short extracts and links, and you are responsible for how you use that material.

You keep ownership of the configuration and drafts you create. You grant us the licence needed to store and process them in order to operate the service.

    AI-generated output

Summaries, relevance explanations and drafts are generated by large language models. This output can be inaccurate, incomplete or misleading, and it is not reviewed by us before you see it.

Verify AI-generated output against the linked source before relying on it, publishing it or making decisions based on it. You are responsible for any content you publish from NewsCatch.

    Availability, pilots and fees

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Monitoring depends on third-party sources and on Slack and Microsoft, and those can fail or change without notice.

Pilot accounts are provided at no charge for the stated pilot period. Where paid plans apply, pricing and billing terms are the ones shown on the pricing page at the time you subscribe.

    Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. NewsCatch is a monitoring aid and is not a guarantee that every relevant article will be found or delivered.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from your use of the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or EUR 100 where no fees were paid. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or missed coverage.

    Termination and changes

You can stop using NewsCatch at any time by disconnecting your integrations and asking us to delete your account. We may terminate accounts for breach of these terms, or discontinue the service with reasonable notice.

We may update these terms; the date at the top of this page reflects the current version. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
